Woman killed after being hit by train

Incident being treated as non-suspicious

A WOMAN has died after being hit by a train at Leagrave Railway Station today, January 19.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "The incident was reported to police at 12.49pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.

"Officers from BTP and Bedfordshire Police attended, alongside paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service.

"A file will be prepared for the coroner."

The woman has not yet been identified.

The train involved was the 11.28am service from Nottingham to St Pancras.
