Woman groped while boarding bus with young child

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was groped while boarding a bus with a young child.

The incident happened at bay number 12 at Bedford bus station on Friday, December 27 and police would like to hear from other people in the area at the same time.

The woman was getting on the bus at about 4.45pm with the child and their were other passengers both ahead and behind them in the queue.

Police say a noisy man, clearly under the influence of something, pushed up against her and grabbed her behind.

He is described as possibly in his thirties, dark skinned, skinny build, and about 5ft 7ins/8ins tall and wearing a red top.

Det Con Lynn Adams of Bedford CID would like to hear from the people who were also in the queue, saw the man or spoke to the woman once she was on the bus and tried to make sure that she was all right.
