Witnesses to four-car A6 smash wanted

Officers are keen to trace witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that happened on Sunday morning,

(March 23).

Police, fire and the ambulance service attended the scene on the A6 Silsoe, at the junction of Warren Lane.

The collision happened at approximately 9am and involved a yellow Mercedes Sprinter recovery van, a black Audi A5, a blue Audi A6 and a black Vauxhall Agila.

The male drivers of the Audi A5 and the Vauxhall Agila were taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital for treatment for slight injuries.

The three occupants from the Mercedes Sprinter recovery van also suffered slight injuries.

The female passenger of the blue Audi A6 suffered a slight heady injury and the male driver received a

serious leg injury.

All occupants were taken to Bedford South Wing Hospital.

The officer in charge of this collision investigation, PC Martin Lent, is keen to trace anyone who witnessed the collision.
