Weekend round-up - Nadine in the jungle

Well Mid Bedfordshire MP Nadine Dorries and her jungle campmates have had a busy weekend taking part in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Although she has not been voted by the public to do a hair-raising bushtucker trial since last Tuesday, Nadine has been busy mucking in with camp life.

This weekend has seen the MP performing a not-so-amazing stand up routine with Birds Of A Feather star Linda Robson and being chained to darts legend Eric Bristow for the forseeable future.

Nadine has also played a supportive. motherly role while encouraging jungle chicken Helen Flanagan to give her best in no less than six bushtucker trials.

And her sensitive cajoling appears to have worked, in last night’s episode Helen scored a whopping twelve meals for the camp, and a further five in the live bushtucker trial.

Speaking exclusively to the Times & Citizen before she left for the jungle, Nadine said: “I think I’ve been invited in there because I’ve got a very specific view about parliament and how it relates to people.

“The population of this country thinks that what is in their best interests is what happens in Parliament. But what happens is in the best interests of a small group at the top.

“There needs to be a change I think Boris is part of that change and I want to be too. I want to get rid of this ‘we know best’ attitude which exists in Westminster.”
