A TEENAGER is set to release her first single after being spotted by Spice Girls founder Chris Herbert.

Evangeline Craddock, 15, who attends Bedford Girls School, has been in three-piece girl band Primrose Hill ever since she was 11.

And now Evangeline is juggling getting ready for the launch of first single, a reworked cover of dancefloor filler Candy Rain, while studying for her GCSEs next year.

She said: “The most exciting bit is recording in the studio. Everyone dreams about it and it was just wow.

“Over the years we have learned so many things and have worked with Doris Pearson from Five Star which is really exciting.

“We practice every weekend and I’ve only had a couple of weekends off in the whole time but its fine because we’ve had so much fun.”

Evi’s group Primrose Hill also features the vocal stylings of youngsters Meisha Kelly and Rhiannon Obinyan and has been described as upbeat pop.

The girls have already played extensive live shows at schools are most recently at an under 18s club night.

Evangeline said: “In five years I would like to be in the charts and for everyone to hear our music and think that they can do it if they try.

“People think that to do this you have to be on reality shows or have connections but I’ve done it.

“My friends are really proud for me, they are not jealous, they know that I want to do this and think I’m really lucky.”
