Victim attacked by man and two dogs

Police appeal for witnesses

A man suffered a broken wrist and facial injuries in an attack by a man and his two dogs in Houghton Regis.

The victim, in his thirties, was in Park Road North at 6.15pm on Tuesday, July 13, when he was approached by a man walking two dogs.

As the men passed one another, the offender spoke briefly to the victim, and then approached him from behind.

He repeatedly hit the man in the face with a dog lead.

When the victim tried to break free, the attacker set his two dogs onto the victim.

Det Sgt Joanne Dyer, investigating, said: "Someone may have seen the attack, as this would have happened in the early evening when people were on their way home.

"I would urge people to contact us."

Call Det Sgt Dyer, in confidence, on 01582 473273 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
