Unprovoked bottle attack in Flitwick pub
Crime
An unprovoked assault left a man requiring hospital treatment for a two-inch gash to his head at the weekend.
The incident happened in the garden of The Swan Inn in Dunstable Road on Saturday, October 27, at around 8.30pm.
A 27-year-old man was the victim of what appears to have been an unprovoked attack by a white man who has been described as approximately 47 years old, 5ft 7ins tall, and well-built.
The victim also suffered a black eye, split lip and grazing to his head.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the pub at the time of the incident or who can help identify the man responsible for the attack.
Detective Constable Ian Johnson said: “This attack appears to be completely unprovoked and has left the victim with a nasty wound to his face.
“This type of behaviour is completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone who can help identify the man responsible to speak to the police, in complete confidence.”
