Ampthill actress Emily Atack has been forced to go to Beds
Police after receiving “vicious” death threats online.

The star, who has
featured in Channel 4 hit The
Inbetweeners and ITV’s Dancing On Ice, was targeted on
social networking site Twitter.

A profile under the name of Jeff Jones tweeted her saying: “emily it’s time 4 u to leave this world, ur last hours wont be pleasant, but it will achieve the objective” (sic)

The 22-year-old star
retweeted the post adding the words “prison 4 u” (sic).

Emily told the Times &
Citizen that she was unable to comment on the online abuse, but she had reported it to
Bedfordshire Police.

It is believed that more threats were sent, but these have now been removed from the offender’s profile.

On Monday Emily tweeted: “Everyone report
@jeffjon56599388 never read/seen anything so vicious to me in my whole life.”

Despite the Twitter user
removing the abusive tweets, another tweet was sent to
Emily on Tuesday saying: “boo! I’m coming!”

A spokesman for Beds
Police said on Tuesday: “Bedfordshire Police have received a complaint today,
reporting malicious communications via Twitter. Police
investigations are ongoing.”

Emily has recently appeared on ITV panel show Celebrity Juice and X-Factor discussion show Xtra Factor. She has also starred in Brit action flick Get Lucky, out next year.
