Trouble on the trains

editorial image

Bedfordshire commuters are facing delays this evening with no trains running between Luton Airport parkway and West Hampstead Thameslink.

The delays, which have been caused by overhead wire problems in the Radlett area mean that all Thameslink services are experiencing major disruption.

Trains are only running between these sections of the network at a reduced service:

Just two trains per hour are running in each direction between Bedford and Luton Airport Parkway and the disruption is expected to continue into tomorrow.

Replacement bus services are in operation.

A spokesman for First Capital Connect, said: “We apologise for the severe disruption to the Thameslink route and strongly advise customers to allow extra time to complete their journey or use alternative routes.”
