Three people charged after drugs raid in Bedford

Three people have been charged with drugs offences following a series of raids at properties in Bedford yesterday (Wednesday).

Paul Avis, 54, of Cavendish Street, Bedford, has been charged with one count of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.

David Riley, 36, of Cranborne Close, Bedford, was charged with possessing a Class A drug.

Samee Jama, 21, of Rodney Close, Birmingham, has been charged with three counts of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and one count of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug.

All three men have been bailed pending court appearances.

The men were arrested after Bedfordshire Police carried out early morning search warrants in Cavendish Street, Richbell Court and Hurst Grove.

Four other people who were arrested as part of the warrants, also for drugs offences, have also been bailed pending further enquiries.
