The Pad gives you the Horne

Funnymann Mat Horne steps off screen and onto the DJ decks in Bedford

Here is a list of facts about television star Mathew Frazer Horne, one half of comedy duo Horne and Corden, some of which you will know and some you won't.

Mat is one of the country's fastest rising comic stars and having hosted this year's Brit Awards with Kylie Minogue, can also be seen on the West End stage and at cinemas in Brit flick Lesbian Vampire Killers.

He rose to fame starring in sitcom Gavin and Stacey, but has also appeared in Robin Hood, The Catherine Tate Show and Teachers.

He was nominated for Best Male Comedy Newcomer at the 2007 British Comedy Awards, is an accomplished drummer, is a Tottenham Hotspur fan despite being born in Nottingham and recently collapsed on stage from exhaustion.

All of these facts are very interesting and informative, but the only fact that music fans will really care about is that Mat is playing a very special one-off DJ set at The Pad in Bedford this weekend.

If indie, hip hop and hot 80's tunes sound like the perfect night out to you then you'll want to know that Mat is in town on Friday (May 8).

Advance tickets for the event are 10 from Luscious Juice Bar, in Lime Street, Bedford, but they're selling fast with only a third left and limited numbers being kept back for the night.

Doors open at 10.30pm and support comes from Pad residents - and that ladies and gentleman is a fact.
