A free training day offering women the chance to learn more about car maintenance and road safety has been hailed a success.
More than 25 women attended the Women Behind The Wheel workshop at RGR Garages, in Cranfield, which now plans to repeat the event throughout the year.
RGR general manager Paula Wildman said: “The feedback from the attendees has been so positive that RGR will be running a series of events over the next 12 months, including a car open day in the autumn.”
During the training day, held on Saturday, May 10, attendees were given car safety advice by RAC representative Ron Waldoc, driving tips from Thames Valley Traffic Police Sargeant Fraser Chamberlain, as well as tyre maintenance and MOT tips from the garage’s service manager, Keith.
The latter part of the workshop involved demonstrations from RGR technicians on fluid checking and wheel changing.
Paula said: “A great time was had by all and RGR would like to thank all of those who attended, as well as Looks and Locks, Euro Car Parts and Motorserve for their raffle prizes and goody bag prizes.”
