Spirits or spikes for charity events?
AN evening of mediumship and a funky Zumba hairathon are both great ways to raise money for St John’s Hospice, in Moggerhanger this month.
The mediumship event takes place at Bedford Athletic RUFC, in Wentworth Drive from 7pm on February 24 and is a great opportunity to explore the afterlife while having fun and raising money for charity.
On the night two mediums will be on stage passing messages from departed loved ones to members of the audience, and sceptical or not the night promises to be both interesting and enlightening.
As well as spooky goings on there will also be an appearance from local band The Effect and a buffet to tickle your taste buds.
But if mediumship is really not for you why not dig out the wig and take part in the Zumba hairathon?
The three-hour event takes place at Bedford High School for Girls, in Bromham Road from 10am on February 25 and promises to be a riot.
Mad hair styles are required, anything from wigs, dyed hair, punk hair anything you like which will stand out in the crowd while you take part in a fun Zumba work out.
Registration fee for the Zumba event is £10 per person, payable online, with the option of being sponsored. You can join in by registering at www.sueryder.org/events.php/1115/zumba_hairathon
Tickets for the mediumship event cost £9 are available from the website www/partyarchitect.co.uk/events
