Speed bumps petition
’Dangerous’ speeding in Queens Park has sparked a residents’ petition to get speed bumps installed.
Concerns over speeding in the Chester Road area of Queens Park have forced residents and local councillors to call for action.
At last night’s full council meeting Councillors Mohammed Masud and Mohammad Yasin presented the petition to the mayor.
Mr Masud said: “The law abiding majority in Queens Park stick to the speed limit to keep themselves and others safe. Unfortunately, we are faced by a hardcore of troublemakers who think the law doesn’t apply to them.”
