This week I have been on the hunt for every budding chef’s cooking essential - a wok.
I, Sophie your shopaholic, am not known for being the best cook in the world, but this week I have decided to brush up on my cooking skills and invest in a wok.
They are simple to use and can provide you with fast, healthy and tasty meals. Even I managed to use one without burning the food.
And whatever your budget, as always Bedford shops can deliver. I have scoured the High Street for the best-priced woks our town has to offer, and it has not disappointed.
I have found you the best woks at a budget, medium and high-end price.
If you do not want to break the bank and just want a basic wok, then head down to Wilkinson’s on the High Street, for £20.
Or, if you have a little bit more to spend, then Debenhams comes up trumps again. They offer woks for an average price of £28, but also have a range of more expensive ones to give you some choice.
And if you want to go all out and invest in a high-quality wok, then check out Kitchenalia in The Arcade.
They have a wide range of Typhoon woks starting from a reasonable price of around £23.99 and going up to around £80.
And my choice of wok was from Kitchenalia, which was a set that included a wok, lid and spatchelors for £45.
