A youngster has won a competition to design a t-shirt for a schools’ sports partnership.

Year 4 pupil at Roxton Lower School Sophie Good has been awarded first prize in the contest, which was set up by school sports co-ordinator Paul Blunt and the School Sports Partnership, based at Sandy Upper School,

The contest was to design a logo for for this season’s schools’ partnership t-shirts, which will be worn at events this year.

The children had to create a design based on one of the Olympic sport calues.

Headteacher Jane Trott said: “At Roxton we have been working on values education to embed it in our lives and studies so this competition was well suited to our present learning climate.

“Sophie’s design was for the value of teamwork and included a line ofchildren working together.”
