A white blanket of snow has hit Bedfordshire and the snowfall is expected to continue.

Severe weather warnings are currently being issued across the UK as temperatures continue to drop and heavy snowfall is expected overnight.

Emergency services are encouraging people to stay safe in the snow and only travel if necessary.
