SLIDESHOW: A 'happy ending' for courtesan Claire after trial
Hollywood stardom could beckon for Chalton mum
When Claire Finch's impressive Chalton bungalow was raided by police in November 2008, she never could have dreamt that 16 months of hell and a gruelling court case would lead to such a happy ending.
But Claire was all smiles this week in leafy Chalton Heights, just weeks after being cleared of running a brothel in a headline grabbing trial at Luton Crown Court.
Enjoying her freedom with potential Hollywood stardom beckoning, the outlook is good for Claire.
Yet the 49-year-old self confessed courtesan, who for years provided her unique brand of massage to clients with an added 'happy ending' from the basement of her home, admits that she has been put through the mill.
She said: "Happy endings and fun jokes aside, it's been bloody awful. Having to get up every day and face that and work on your own, it makes you start to wonder what's the point.
"I'd just like to thank all my neighbours and friends for all their support."
