Signalling more traffic controls during A5 work

Street lighting revamp scheme update

Extra daytime traffic signals are now in operation as part of the A5 Dunstable lighting revamp.

The Highways Agency says that those signals are in operation between 10am and 3pm.

And they will remain in place for another week.

Work affecting both carriageways is being carried out as part of the 2.2m scheme to improve lighting at the junctions on the A5.

That covers the area between the junction with Beech Road, in Dunstable, and the M1 at Junction 9, near Flamstead.

The work on the scheme began on January 4, and involves both replacing and improving street lighting along the route.
