Making a splash and raising charity cash is the order of the day at the Bedford Rotary Club Swimathon later this month.

Sixteen teams have already said they will take part, but organisers of the event, which is supported by the Times & Citizen are keen for more to sign up.

Rotary Swimathon 2012 is organised by The Rotary Club of Bedford, on November 24 teams of up to six will swim in relay for fifty minutes at Bedford School swimming pool.

Money raised on the day and from sponsorship will be divided between Arthritis Research UK and each team’s chosen charity.

The event also gets a little competitive, trophies will be on offer for the team which raises the most money, the top local business team, the top youth team and top charitable group.
