DERBY girls from two Bedfordshire teams will take to the race track at Goodwood to raise money for charity.

Rebellion Roller Girls and the Bedfordshire Roller Girls will take part in the gruelling Goodwood Roller Marathon, in West Sussex on Sunday.

Roller Derby is a full contact sport for women played on quad roller skates.

The Rebellion league has been around since 2009 and this year have taken part in a number of bouts skating for other teams.

In November they will be skating for the first time as a full team, and are training by taking part in the marathon to raise money for Keech Hospice Care.

Bedfordshire Roller Girls have also had a busy year taking on European derby stars the Copenhagen Rolling Heartbreakers amongst others.

They will be skating on Saturday to raise cash for the National Autistic Society and the Sickle Cell Society.

Goodwood is a full 26.2 mile marathon on roller skates at the Goodwood Race Circuit.
