A new homes estate in Kempston became a film set for a Bedfordshire Police training video.
The force was looking for a suitable place to film its new training video, and decided the homes at David Wilson Homes’ Bedford Meadows development in Kempston provided the perfect location.
Martyn Hynes, a detective at the Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Training Department, said: “We needed somewhere in a quiet location which showed a typical example of modern day living, so the Bedford Meadows development was ideal.
“The team on site were very happy to support us. They were really helpful, allowing us full access to the development and the show home.
“Thanks to David Wilson Homes, we’ve been able to compile a very comprehensive scene for two sections of our film.”
The training video aims to teach the basic tactics and techniques which are employed in a variety of situations. The course has been designed for all officers and staff who have first contact with the public, from 999 operators to the detectives in CID.
Chris Hatfield, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said: “We were very happy to help the Bedfordshire Police Force with this video. Our goal is to support the local community in any way we can, and I’m glad that we were able to achieve that here.”
Bedford Meadows is located on the western edge of Bedford, and features traditionally designed two bedroom apartments, and three and four bedroom houses.
