Crime
A woman was pushed over and punched in the face as a man stole her handbag on Friday evening (August 24).
The incident took place at around 10pm at Ashburnham Road, Bedford, after the 44-year-old woman had left work at Bedford Hospital and called at the Corals bookmakers on Midland Road on her way home.

The brown leather handbag contained £490 in cash, along with various documents and a green make-up bag.
