A new campaign to recruit the next wave of specials constables has been launched by Bedfordshire Police.
Three information evenings are being held to promote the rewards and responsibilities of the role. Attendees can ask questions about the recruitment process and meet serving Special Constables.
A police spokesman said the force hopes to increase the number of recruits from 205 to 500 by 2016.
He added force is “keen to reflect the diverse communities”.
The information sessions start at 7.30pm, at Police Headquarters, Woburn Road, Kempston, on July 16, September 17, and November 20.
