Police appeal to road rage witness who intervened

Police are appealing for a member of the public who intervened in a road rage incident to contact them.

The incident happened in Pear Tree View, Elstow on May 13 at approximately 6.30pm.

The 45-year-old victim stopped his moped after crossing paths with a driver of a black Peugeot 307.

The driver of the car got out and approached the victim before grabbing him around the neck. The offender has then kicked the man in the leg before a member of the public has

intervened.

A man has been arrested and is currently on police bail.

The officer in charge of this investigation, DC Ian Johnson, is keen to trace the member of the public who helped stop the altercation or anyone who witnessed the incident.

DC Johnson said: “I am keen to speak with a white man wearing a red top who spoke with the men during the altercation. I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident to contact the police, in confidence.”
