Playing the game brings TV stardom
Team joins in the fun on CBBC programme
Pass it on – TV fame is on the way for Dunstable youngsters and grown-ups with starring roles in a game show based on Chinese Whispers.
Joshua Mitchell, 11, applied for a chance to join in the fun on the CBBC Copycats programme.
And he was thrilled when his team of family and friends was chosen to appear on the show.
At Joshua's side were friend Nathan Ashburner, 11, and Nathan's sister Isabella, nine.
They were ably supported by their fellow team members, Joshua's mum Karen, his dad Jason and his grandad Steve.
Two teams battled it out in hilarious games for the show, which is presented by Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes.
They were flown up to Glasgow for the filming, and enjoyed an overnight hotel stay.
Now they hope that the programme will be screened early next year.
Dunstablians can tune in then to see if the team went away with a Copycats trophy.
Karen, 40, an administrator, said: "It was a really great adventure for the children.
"They were so excited. We went to hair and make-up, and it was like being a star for the day!"
