People urged to ‘ask your pharmacist’

Make use of your local pharmacist is the latest message from NHS Bedfordshire and Luton.

Next week is Ask Your Pharmacist week and NHS Bedfordshire and Luton, which overseaas healthcare services across the county, is encouraging peopleto make sure they use theirs.

Andy Cooke, head of medicines management for the Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Pharmacists are highly- qualified healthcare professionals who have undertaken five years of education and training for this specialist role and therefore have expert knowledge on prescription and over the counter medicines.

“Why not call into your local pharmacy to find out more about what they do.”
