A call is going out to all cyclists to get in the pedals to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA).
The life-saving organisation is inviting everyone from the serious Lycra brigade, to those whose bikes are covered in cobwebs, to raise money with a ride round Grafham Water.
The annual Ride for Your Lives event follows a gentle, nine-mile course around the lake and participants can make a single leisurely lap, or get competitive and push hard to complete as many laps as possible during the day.
EAAA fundraising manager Christopher Donaldson: “You can do as much or as little as you wish, as slow or as fast as you wish.
“You can pay a small registration and ride or get some sponsor forms and raise even more money for the charity. We look forward to welcoming all supporters for what will be a hugely enjoyable event.”
Last year, EAAA helicopters attended 1,670 missions throughout the region. It operates every day of the year and relies on the public for funding.
The event is on Sunday, June 22. Entry is £10 for an individual or £20 for a family.
