If you like antiques, vintage items or bespoke furniture, then the Little White Cat could be purr-fect for you.
Little White Cat has opened its new base in the Ampthill Antiques Emporium, and is the second unit run by the firm.
Owner Jen Reeves-North explained how her passion for vintage and antiques led to her setting up her own business.
She said: “We have a mix of antiques, vintage furtniture, collectibles, kitchenalia and homewares, while bespoke renovations are a big part of the business.
“I’ve always loved antique and quirky furniture, having things in my home that aren’t what you see on the High Street. They can be big items, or just little pieces that bring a room together.
“One day I realised that there was only so much I could have in the house without my husband having to move out to make space for it all. And at the same time I was going to shows, seeing the stalls and the traders, and thinking ‘I could do that’.
“I started out with one small unit in Sawbridgeworth, and doing shows, then doing bigger shows, then a bigger unit, and now a second premises in Ampthill.”
The Ampthill venue of Little White Cat is open six days a week, 10am-5pm from Wednesday to Monday.
And Jen explained why she thought the town was the prefect venue.
She said: “I’ve always liked Ampthill, it’s almost like a seaside town, and the Antiques Emporium is somewhere I love. There’s four floors and so much to see that you could lose yourself there for a day.
“Little White Cat does something a little different, a funky twist at affordable prices.
“Every item is unique, although if people see something that we previously had and have sold then we always try to source something similar and tailor to their requirements.”
