A host of bands, choirs and music groups are lined up for this year’s Oxjam Bedford Takeover.
More than 70 acts, including DJs, solo artists and live bands, will be entertaining at a number of venues across the town, with all proceeds going to Oxfam.
The music starts at noon on Saturday, October 19, with gigs at Esquires, The Pad, The Bear, The Bedford Arms and St Cuthbert’s Hall
A number of sponsors have helped to make the event a success, with Indian Summer Restaurant as the headline sponsor.
Clare Sullivan, Oxjam Bedford Takeover manager, said: “The support we received from local businesses and people last year was phenomenal and this year we’ve seen an even bigger level of interest.
“I’m particularly excited about our programme in St Cuthbert’s Hall, our family-friendly venue with activities for the kids and great music that adults and children alike can enjoy.”
Last year’s event raised almost £8,500 when more than 60 bands performed.
There are age restrictions at Esquires, The Pad and The Bear, but none at St Cuthbert’s Hall and The Bedford Arms.
