Do you know a local community group or charity that could benefit from a £500 cash boost?
The Times and Citizen has teamed up with housebuilder Taylor Wimpey to offer worthy causes the chance to receive £500 in this fantastic Community Chest campaign.
We are inviting readers to nominate good causes in the Bedford area which you feel are most deserving of this incredible cash award.
Whether it is a local charity which relies on donations to carry out its work in the community, or a group or organisation which makes a real difference in your neighbourhood, we want to hear where you think the money would be best spent.
Steve Rolt, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey South Midlands, which is currently building new homes at its Westlow Abbey and Heritage Park developments in Wixams and Bramble Walk development in Biggleswade, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for readers to nominate their favourite local cause to receive a very special thank you in the form of the £500 Community Chest.
“We are delighted to be teaming up with the Bedford Times and Citizen for this special initiative and hope people will take the opportunity to nominate the unsung heroes in their community.”
The nominations will be studied before a shortlist is produced, when readers can vote for their favourite.
Shortlisted nominations for the Community Chest will be published in the T&C.
T&C editor Jim Stewart said: “We know there are many organisations in our area which do great work in the community, and what better way to say thank you than by putting them forward for this cash award.”
To nominate a good cause for the Community Chest, email firstname.lastname@example.org with ‘Community Chest nomination’ in the subject line, and include your name, telephone number, details of the organisation you are nominating and why you think it should receive the £500 award.
The deadline for nominations is Sunday, April 13.
