A two-piece portion of alternative music fun is coming to Esquires in the shape of The Omnivibes.

The band, which will play at the Bedford venue on Saturday, January 26, are certainly diverse with their sounds tipping a wink to everything from Indian Raga to your favourite indie or rock band.

Hailing from Buckingham The Omnivibes are currently unsigned but have recorded a demo, an EP and a live album which they say are selling well.

As ever at Esquires, this gig is an opportunity to catch an act before they really hit the big time, to say “I was there” when they go on to headline Glastonbury.

The Omnivibes will be joined on the night by Biggleswade’s Tequilla Mockingbird.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £5 on the door.

And there’s a little bit of good news from local heroes The Wholls.

The band have been getting national and international exposure since signing a three album record deal with independent label ZY Records and selling out shows across the country.

As well as playing live shows in the UK The Wholls have also just returned from a promotional tour in Las Vegas gathering fans by the dozen from across the pond.

To hear more from the band a little closer to home you can also tune in to Wholls World, the band’s show on community station In2beats 106.5fm on Thursdays from 10am.
