A club for ‘silver’ members of society is being opened next week in Bedford.

Starting on Tuesday, May 6, a friendly group called the Silver Lining Club is being opened for people looking for activities and socialising, for one afternoon each month.

The club will meet at Park Road Methodist Church, on Roff Avenue near the Clapham Road roundabout, from 2pm until 3pm.

The number 6 bus stops a short walk away and the number 10 bus stops almost exactly opposite. Car parking is in nearby Queen Street.

The group will offer games such as cards and Scrabble, simple crafts, knitting or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and chat with new friends.

A suggested 25p contribution can be made towards the cost of refreshments. Call Jenny on 01234 404644.
