A nursery in Great Denham is celebrating ‘outstanding’ rating in its first Ofsted report.

The Toybox nursery is owned by Chris and Jackie Townson who opened the £650,000 facility in April, catering for a maximum of 73 children up to five years old,

Chris said: “We are overjoyed that we have managed to attain the highest Ofsted grades possible in our debut inspection report, quite a feat for a new nursery to achieve.

“We strive to deliver the highest quality childcare in Bedford as well as offering excellent value for money, and these results prove that our hard work has paid off.”

The Ofsted report praises the quality and consistency of teaching and support at the nursery, as well as the interaction with parents and the dedication and skill of the management team.

Chris and Jackie have built up considerable expertise, managing a number of nurseries over the past 15 years.

Toybox employs around nine staff and supports graduates in the Government’s Early Years programme.

Chris said: “All of our staff go through our own rigorous training programme to ensure that we provide the best quality service.

“Demand has been very high already and we have lots of interest from parents eager to find out more information.”

The nursery is part of The Fairways development on Greenkeepers Road in Biddenham Vale, developed by David Wilson Homes. Visit www.toyboxdenham.co.uk
