MP Burt: “Bedford commuters deserve better”

North East Bedfordshire MP Alistair Burt has spoken out over what he describes as ‘disappointing’ service provided by train operators First Capital Connect (FCC).

A recent train satisfaction survey revealed at FCC was the least popular train company, scoring the lowest for customer service.

Mr Burt said: “It is frankly unacceptable for passengers to take a price hike and reap no benefits in terms of improved services. Bedford commuters deserve better and to that end I will be arranging a meeting with FCC to talk through these findings.”

Season ticket prices have increased on average 4.2 per cent but only 22 per cent of commuters felt the service they received was improving.
