Allotments will be on display, as well as a whole host of activities at a fun show on Sunday.

The Mile Road Allotments Leisure Gardeners Association will hold their September show from 10am til 4pm.

On the day there will be many show classes including fruit, preserves, vegetables and cakes.

And children can get in on the action too and take part in miniature garden on a plate, vase of flowers, best scarecrow and decorated cup cakes classes.

Prizes for all of the events will be presented by Dave Hodgson, the Mayor of Bedford in a special ceremony at 3.30pm.

Other attractions on the day include a craft stall, raffle, horseshoe throwing, plant and produce stall and a composting stand.

And for those who want to enjoy a bite to eat there will be burgers, ice creams and other refreshments available.
