Man treated after fire

A man has been taken to hospital following an early morning fire today (Thursday).

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) was called to the property in the High Street, Harrold after the kitchen caught fire.

EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The man was treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance crews at the scene and he was then taken to Bedford Hospital for further care.”
