Man took legal high drugs before death
A MAN died after taking a quantity of ‘legal high’ drugs at his home in Bedford an inquest heard this week.
Duncan George Readdy, 28, of Angel View, Elstow Road was found at his home on January 9 this year and was pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest on Tuesday heard how prior to his death Mr Readdy had consumed alcohol and cannabis as well as taking a quantity of ‘legal high’ drugs.
The legal substances listed in a report to the coroner as Atomic Bomb, Blow, Bombay Blue, Super Chillem, Ex-Ses Platinum, Ice Bud, Solar Super, Spike 99 Ultra and Tribal Warrior Ultimate were found in Mr Readdy’s system and at his home.
One of the substances, which was not named, had never been seen in the UK before by toxicology experts RAW Forensics who examined the findings as part of the investigation.
The inquest, held at Bedford Coroners’ Court, in Goldington Road, also heard that Mr Readdy was unemployed at the time of his death.
Coroner David Morris recorded a narrative verdict saying that Mr Readdy died from abusive illicit and non-prescription drugs.
