Man rescued after river jump
Emergency services were called after a man jumped in the river in the early hours of this morning.
The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were called to Prebend Street at 2.14am. An ambulance and duty manager from Kempston attended the scene.
EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Following assessments by the paramedics, the man did not require to go to hospital.
“Thankfully this patient was very lucky to get out of the river but this could have easily turned into a tragic incident.”
