A man needed stitches in his head last week after a fight broke out at the Muntjac Pub in Harrold.

The incident happened between 8.30pm and 9pm on Friday, February 8, in the High Street pub.

A group of middle aged men were drinking in the pub when a verbal row escalated into a fight and one of those involved, a man aged 60, was hit with a pool cue. He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a head wound.

Three people have already been arrested by detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the pub at the time.

Det Con Ian Johnson, said: “We have heard from some people who were in the pub at the time but by all accounts the Muntjac was very busy at the time and we have not yet spoken to everyone who was there.

“If you were there on Friday evening, and saw any part of what happened, we’d like to hear from you. Please don’t assume your information is unimportant or that someone else has already told us – we need to hear from as many customers as possible so we can piece together exactly what the sequence of events was.”

Det Con Johnson can be contacted on 01234 275113, or via the non-emergency 24-hour number 10.
