Man found in river

A body was found in the river along The Embankment on New Year’s Day.

Beds Police have been investigating the incident after a member of the public found a man in the water, near to the junction of Shaftsbury Road, at around 2.30pm.

The body has not been formally identified, but officer believe they know who the man is.

A post mortem is due to be carried out in the next couple of days.
