Man dies and another seriously injured in town centre attacks - did you witness these?

A young man has died and another has been seriously injured following an incident in Bedford town centre last night, Saturday, January 25, although exact details of the attacks have yet to be confirmed by police who have launched a murder investigation.

A man reported to be aged 24 was stabbed in Costin Street (off Midland Road) in the town at around 6.30pm last night. He was taken to Bedford Hospital, but died of his injuries later, it has been reported to the Times & Citizen.

A second man reportedly had serious injuries to his nose, following the incident.

A witness has contacted the T&C to say: “A man aged 24 got stabbed in Bedford and died as a result of his injuries. Another man had his nose sliced off.”

The street was sealed off while forensic examinations took place and police have launched a murder investigation.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have information on the incident.
