Man airlifted from A600 collision
A MAN was airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision just south of Bedford on Wednesday morning (May 9).
The incident happened at around 8.10am, when a motorcycle and a Vauxhall Astra were in collision on the A600 travelling north towards Bedford just before the turn into Cardington.
A 44-year-old man was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries.
Police want to talk to the driver of a light green or blue metallic estate car carrying plants in the back, to assist their investigation.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “On our arrival, a man was found in a critical condition and following rapid treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown direct to Addenbrookes Hospital.”
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Dave Clarke on 01234 842439, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
