A popular coffee shop has expanded and moved to a bigger building round the corner.
Limes Of Bedford, has been situated in Lime Street since it opened eight years ago - but it has now moved into the former Alexander Cafe in Harpur Street - that was hit by fire last year.
Limes has spent the last few months renovating the building and owner Helen Evans now says it “looks better than ever before”
Helen, 49, said: “It has just been phenomenal so far. We opened on January 2 and we were so busy all day with old customers following us over, some just wanting to have a quick look, and new customers.
“We’ve have been really busy every day since we moved, even on Saturday when it was pouring all day. The support we have received has been fantastic.”
She added: “I have an amazing and dedicated team of staff, especially my team leader Maz Smith who has been with me for seven years. And without them and my extremely loyal customers we wouldn’t be in this position.
”We opened as an independent coffee shop that offers fantastic customer service and that is what we will continue to be.”
The shop can now cater for over double to customers it could before, with extra seating upstairs. It also plans to offer out the upstairs to local clubs and groups.
