Jewellery worth nearly £20,000 snatched in village burglary

Police are hunting for thieves who burgled a home in Cranfield on Wednesday, January 29.

The house, at Holywell Road, in the village, was empty during the day between about 9am and 5.15pm.

During this time, burglars have broken in by smashing the rear window and climbing in, then making a search of the house.

They got away with nearly £20,000 of jewellery including:

Blue Versace watch

Christian Lacroix stainless steel watch

Ruby and diamond pendant set in gold

Black leather bangle with freshwater pearls and gold and silver charms

Gold ruby and diamond ring

Gold sapphire and diamond ring

Gold charm bracelet

Diamond pave white gold ring

Platinum freshwater pearl ring with diamond shanks

Holywell Road is a shingle road leading to fields.

Det Con Lynn Adams would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offenders at the back of the house, seen anyone out of place hanging around the area or may have been offered these items of jewellery.
