THE spirit of jazz came to Bartlemas Farm in Pavenham on Sunday and all in aid of a good cause.

Cream teas, steam train rides and a traditional jazz band set the scene for the Jazz In The Garden even which raised around £1,500 for the Friends Of St Peter’s Church in Pavenham.

Derek Bliss, chairman of the charity and organiser of the event, said: “It was an enjoyable, relaxed and happy afternoon and we sold around 140 tickets.

“It was a very good atmosphere and lots of nice music that many of the audience said was lovely to hear. We are very grateful to the Beezley family for allowing us to use their beautiful garden.”
