Jack has carved out something different
Top singer songwriter comes to Northampton
Perhaps a little over hyped in the early stages of his career, Jack Penate has risen from the floundering depths of London's third or fourth indie revival and carved out something a little different.
For an artist who once shared magazine covers with Adele and Kate Nash this is no mean feat.
Earning his stripes on the fickle London pub circuit Penate received rave reviews from the music press and his first two singles were championed by Zane Lowe, who made them his single of the week consecutively.
Fame and fortune followed and Jack - who is best known for single, Torn on the Platform - has since appeared on the BBCs ratings winner Later with Jools Holland.
Last year he played Glastonbury and the Reading and Leeds Festivals to a riot of publicity.
But the hype died down ferociously quickly, perhaps luckily for Jack, who was left with enough thinking space to plan his next, most important move.
Jack Penate will be playing at the New Roadmender in Northampton on Tuesday, June 23.
