Careers taster sessions are on offer for would-be Bedford College students during the February half term break.

Young people aged between 14 and 19 can have a go at a variety different career paths from rocket science to plumbing and tractor driving, as part of the free taster sessions.

Bedford College marketing director Sarah Baxter, said: “Careers advice needs to be up to date and in line with changes going on industry in today’s fast moving world of work. Students need to make the right choices in their GCSEs, and about where they will study post 16 if they want to get on the career ladder.”

She added: “Here at Bedford College we help students decide the route they want to take and make sure they get the right qualifications, which critically, are acceptable to employers looking to take on young talent as trainees or apprentices, or graduates.”
