Katy worked with year 7 and 8 pupils in sessions funded by the Harpur Trust, which hopes to forward successful work as entries towards its 450th Anniversary Art competition being judged later.

The workshops began with Katy sharing her own inspiring portfolio with the students giving them the opportunity to see how an illustrator collects and produces ideas.

They were guided through a range of techniques before transferring to working on top of an original copy of John Bunyan’s The Pilgrim’s Progress. The pupils’ creative ideas will be completed during art club in school.
