Hockey Club £6k funding windfalll

BUDDING hockey players and coaches will benefit from a £6,258 windfall from Sport England.

The money will go to Bedford Hockey Club to run its Under 18 academy.

This will help to provide bespoke training sessions and expert training for players looking to make the transition from the junior sides into the first team.

The bid will also help to fund training for two new Level 2 coaches and two Level 1 coaches to join the academy.

Club chairman Rob Moulam said: “The academy will be a great way for talented young players to develop and thrive in the coming years at Bedford Hockey Club.”
